Trust the Parents!
Children and Teens at the Expo
Family Village |
|
The Family Village will be filled with games, projects and sessions for all ages
throughout the weekend! It is designed to support parents in playing and learning with
their children. We invite children of all ages and their parents to participate in
these fun activities. Children must be accompanied by a responsible person who can
attend to their safety and behavior at all times. |

Don’t miss the spacious 4,000 square foot poolside
Pavilion, home to Expo 2008’s Family Village!
Throughout
the weekend, the Family Village is offering activities
such as art lessons from the Riverside Art Museum, an
Egg Drop Competition and Earth Science! Creative Minds
will offer a session packed with challenging games!
We'll have Reader's Theater, lanyards, mosaics and sun
prints, and so much more! Families can work on their
paper airplane skills and learn to make their own stomp
rockets.
And, of course, the 10,000 Keva Planks are back!
While most activities for kids and their adults are
out in the Pavilion, we have so much to offer that some
of our family fun will be found in session rooms, so
be sure to check the schedule for the location! Chivalry
Today is presenting a unique introduction to chivalry
based on King Arthur's court, and don’t miss nationally
acclaimed storyteller, Jim Weiss! You’ll also find Spanish,
sign language, games in the halls, small children’s
toys in the atrium, and chess in room 311. Need to get
out to enjoy some fresh air and see a good view from
the third floor? Just step out onto the third floor
deck! Feel free to take your favorite game out there
too! |

|
After dinner, play some family games, attend sessions,
stop by the Guitar Hero Competition, or go swimming!
The evening will be full of sessions for the whole family!
Meet up with old friends, make new friends and enjoy
our collection of family board games, or just sit and
visit - there are many comfortable places to chat at
the Marriott!
